The neighbour of Cinelandia are also not interested in my plan for a new stage on their site. The argument: global economic crisis.

I want to convince merchants like this of my vision for downtown: we are growing towards the status of Cultural Heart of the Caribbean! With a high organizational level in the Art Sector and internationally well known artist from local origin like Tania Kross and Izaline Calister, I think we can boost our economy by selling our cultural product to the region.

And that product needs a better stage right now! Something more Caribbean than Teatro Luna Blou, something better equiped than Villa Maria, something closer by than Brakkeput MeiMei...

Dear downtown friends,

All your reactions to my last newsletter inspired me to find the right Next Step in my efforts to rescue our Art Deco Heritage: I offer the concept to the neighbour.

I believe that Punda needs a public stage for our 'political theater' as soon as we will obtain our 'Status Aparte', and local democracy has to start leading us to a bright eonomonic future on our own.

Our Art Deco heritage reminds us of the era in which our downtown flourished, and can inspire our business leaders of today to develop concepts for tourism and downtown promotion.
